Peccato per gli amici e il marito che sono dovuti restare in città, ma le previsioni del tempo erano ottime e bisogna cogliere l'attimo! Grazie a Stefano, che ci ha invitate a godere di questo magico momento.
I spent three magical days at the Abruzzo Park, with an ideal weather and the brilliant colours of leaves and sky. Together with Anne Shingleton, I've been able to read through her artist's eyes the subtlest nuances, and aspects that I would have certainly missed. Each one has a personal way to see things, and mine is not so much as analytical as emotional. Anne is a great colourist and keeps scanning reality all the time, on the look-out for pictorial stimuli.
Anyway I did produce a few watercolours, one of which I'd rather re-do and another one that I promised myself I will get finished- but the light had changed radically and I was getting cold.
Pity for the friends and husband who had to stay home, but the weather forecast was just perfect and we had to grab the opportunity!
