L'Isola del Sud, NZ- South Island, NZ

Colori carichi per queste splendide giornate di sole  novembrino con cui ci accoglie l'Isola del Sud, più disabitata e selvaggia. Una sosta ad Anakiwa, splendida baia (i residenti sono una ventina...) da cui parte il famoso Queen Charlotte Track che si snoda tra le coste e le falesie, in un anello che può essere percorso in vari giorni. Noi ne facciamo un pezzettino, sopra un mare turchese dove giocano i delfini e un marangone cerca di compiere l'impossibile: ingoiare un rombo largo tre volte i suo gozzo...


Colours in full chroma for these pages starting with the ferry crossing from the North to South Island, NZ, on a sunny November day. Pied oystercatchers and crowned spoonbills at Anakiwa bay, where the Queen Charlotte Track ends- or starts. Shimmering cerulean sea with a shoal of dolphins prancing in the  flat water; colourful stones and algae on the beaches. Last, a poor young pied shag exhausted by the effort to swallow a turbot he'd killed, large thrice his gut...I couldn't resist teasing him in a vignette.
